About me

Hello,

So here I am…..The Feature Writer.  I guess that leaves little doubt about what it is that I do, although how I got here is another matter.

My route so far includes a year living on an Israeli kibbutz, which fuelled a life-long passion for independent travel and learning about other cultures. The acquisition of a BA (Honours) degree in English and Education as a mature student provided enduring lessons in concise writing, meeting deadlines and time management, as well as further broadening my educational horizons.

Thirteen extremely happy and absorbing years in the airline industry flashed past, with the degree frequently proving its worth in a managerial role. Here and there it acquired a cobweb or two and the aviation industry downturn in 2009 provided a safety net with which to leap from the corporate train, take a new direction, start a new career and face different challenges.

Another period of study and the successful acquisition of a Diploma in Freelance Journalism launched me into a new, exciting and fulfilling phase of my life with a growing portfolio of published articles both at home and abroad, detailed in my publication record.

As well as writing articles and features, I offer copywriting, editing and proofreading services for businesses. Recent work has included writing press releases, newsletters, editing and re-writing website content and proofreading, from small projects to a novel.

My passions are independent travel, (I’m especially passionate about Paris), the Arts, alternative health and remedies, vegetarianism, as well as the natural world, to name just a few.   I love to write on a broad range of topics  and I’d be delighted to write, edit or proofread for you – please see my Contact page and get in touch.
