Writing Radar: December 12th 2011

Welcome to another weekly blog post in this series, sharing some information for freelance writers that has appeared on my radar over the last 7 days.

This week there are more competitions and markets, as well as advice about writing for overseas markets and a great (free) site to access photos.

Whether you’re a new or established writer I hope that you’ll find something of interest in these weekly round-ups of hints, tips, markets and competitions. As always, it’s advisable to check all the small print before submitting an entry or pitch.

Regular readers will know that I include competitions and freelance writer requirements from overseas.   I’ve had features published in the USA and Canada;  e-mail and Paypal make queries, submissions and payments easy - just remember to change your default Set Language to English (United States).  But don’t just take my word for it – successful American writer Hope Clark (www.chopeclark.com and www.fundsforwriters.com) shares her thoughts and explains that what once was difficult is now easy – and offers some great advice. Check out her websites!
