Writing Radar: November 28th 2011

Welcome to a new weekly blog post sharing some information for freelance writers that has appeared on my radar over the last 7 days.

Whether you’re a new or established writer I hope that you’ll find something of interest in these weekly round-ups of hints, tips, markets and competitions. As always, it’s advisable to check all the small print before submitting an entry or pitch.

Competitions                                                                                                             The Chudleigh Short Story Competition
£5 entry fee
Stories must be a maximum of 1500 words, with an open theme and in English. Deadline January 31, 2012. First Prize £100; Second Prize £50; Third Prize £25. Franklin-Christoph Poetry Prize

No entry fee.                                                                                                                                      Total prize fund: including the $1,000 cash grand prize. Deadline December 31, 2011. Original, unpublished poem on any subject.  Limit
of two entries per contestant. Entries should not exceed 100 lines each.
